Position Overview

As a full-time Inside Sales Representative at Maven, you will play a critical role in driving growth by converting leads into customers, proactively owning and managing smaller sales cycles independently, and supporting larger enterprise deals. This role includes inbound follow-up, outbound prospecting, lead nurturing, demos, and collaboration across sales and marketing teams.

You will report to the VP of Marketing and work closely with Sales VPs, Account Executives (AEs), and SDRs (including third-party firms) as part of an omnichannel sales approach that includes account-based marketing, inbound, outbound, and tradeshow participation.

This position is ideal for a tech-savvy, driven, and communicative salesperson who is comfortable juggling multiple tasks and deals simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage your own full sales cycles from initial outreach to closed-won for small and mid-sized accounts. Consistently meet or exceed revenue and sales targets.

  • Conduct product demos for SMB opportunities and support AEs and Sales VPs in larger enterprise deals by providing demos and sales support.

  • Shepherd leads through the sales funnel, either fully owning deals or advancing opportunities to the appropriate sales team member.

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Maven’s platform and how it solves pain points and present Maven’s solutions clearly and persuasively.

  • Identify, qualify, and nurture leads across different personas and decision-makers.

  • Perform targeted outbound prospecting via phone, email, and sites like LinkedIn.

  • Engage in consistent, professional B2B sales nurturing tactics, including for inbound leads generated by marketing, SDRs, firms, and sales leaders.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to adapt mass outbound messaging for specific segments and create customized, brand-consistent sales content for targeted presentations and sales communication. Develop personalized, research-driven outreach for key prospects using an ABM approach.

  • Accurately manage prospect and customer data in HubSpot CRM. Use the CRM and sales tools to maintain lists, track activities, and optimize outreach.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, customer success, operations, and R&D to ensure alignment and a seamless customer journey.

  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences. Support event logistics, including setup, teardown, and management of marketing materials.

  • Occasionally travel to customer and prospect locations (corporate offices, trucking terminals, etc.) for meetings, demos, and event participation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of B2B sales experience with a proven record of success in lead generation, full funnel nurturing, closing deals, and exceeding goals.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Highly organized. Able to create and follow processes and manage competing priorities.

  • Tech proficient with experience providing demos of modern software platforms, managing sales data, and using programs like Excel, PowerPoint, and HubSpot.

  • “The Startup Mentality:” the ability and desire to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You must be able to self-initiate to solve problems, manage your time and resources efficiently, and be highly adaptable to change.

  • Based in Pittsburgh, PA and able to work in the office daily with occasional travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a fast-growing startup or SaaS company.

  • Background in the transportation, trucking, or logistics industry.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.

Benefits

  • Competitive Base Salary + Performance-Based Commission

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance

  • 401(k) with Employer Match

  • Flexible PTO

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
